I took a ride up to visit Neri Wines on a Saturday (today) to meet up with Luca Cimmarotta and pick up some of their wonderful Cabernet Franc wine. Well, he also had me taste several of their other wines, including this fabulous Cab Sauv that definitely has some spice to it.

I would swear that this wine has Merlot or Syrah in it, because of it's warm spicyness. The tannins are firm, and the wine is quite dry, or shall I saw very light-bodied.

You do get a lot of fruit in the palate, but there is that spicyness which is almost like a combination of cinnamon and nutmeg that hits the back of your throat.

This wine would probably be perfect with dark chocolate.
